The workshop was called ‘Thinking in 3-D with Felt’, and was about translating two dimensional ideas and drawings into three dimensional felt objects.
It was held at the super cool Pop Craft Studio, which has a gorgeous view of gumtrees and is chock full of yarn and other fun crafty things, including a giant pair of fluro pink knitting needles.
Cat and Isobel were absolutely loverly and generous in sharing their expertise in creating all sorts of felt shapes, creatures and things.
I started working on a fox. It’s a pretty wonky now, but I think it will be a little bit cute once it’s finished!
This cutie-pie was created by either Cat or Isobel (I’m not sure which). Felt is such a fun, versatile material and the skills Cat and Isobel taught us in the workshop are really transferable, so I can’t wait to get to making all sorts of things! I shall post a photo of my wonky fox when it’s finished.
Have you done any creative workshops recently? What are you making at the moment?
