Phew. Apologies. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I got caught up in the end-of-year work busyness whirlwind, followed by the Christmas whirlwind, as I’m sure many of you did. It was overwhelming and crazy and fun and it’s nice to finally have a chance to sit down (and take the occasional nap).
I’m sure most people are well and truly done talking about Christmassy things (not me though, I’m never done 😉 ), but it’s still technically December, so I wanted to quickly share the some of my Christmas nail art before I well and truly miss my chance! Each Christmas, I like to do different Christmas nail art for each week of December. You can see the first week by clicking here, and below are the final three weeks!
This Christmas village design was inspired by a vintage Christmas colour scheme. You can’t see too clearly in the pictures, but there are flecks of glitter as ‘snow’. I’ve only included my left in all of these pictures, because I’m right handed and the designs on my right hand inevitably turn out rather wonky #nailartishard.
I looooove those vintage Christmas lights, don’t you? Thus, I couldn’t resist painting some on my nails. I think these turned out the best of all four of my Christmas manicures, and they were the easiest to paint as well, so double points!
And finally, vintage Christmas bauble nails. Alas, these are my least favourite. I made the wrong call on the background colour, but once I started painting I was kind of committed. Oh well. Also, it seems the theme of these manicures accidentally turned out to be ‘vintage Christmas’, which I’m quite ok with!
Do you like the whole vintage, kitschy Christmas thing, or are you more of a modern and chic kind of person? What’s on your nails at the moment? Do tell!
