I just discovered that the wonderful Danielle from the Jealous Curator (which is an amazing website full of art that made it’s curator think ‘damn, I wish I thought of that’), has a podcast called Art for Your Ear. And what a fortuitous time for me to discover this podcast, because this week, Danielle spoke to my weaving idol Maryanne Moodie! I’ve posted about my creative crush on Maryanne and her work before (click here), so naturally I was a little bit excited to hear their chat.
It was interesting to hear how Maryanne came across weaving, and is essentially self taught. I also loved hearing Maryanne and Danielle talk about having your eyes open and paying attention to the world around you in order to allow something creative to come in to your life. Have you ever been struck by a creative thunderbolt, or come across a new craft and thought ‘Yes, this is the one!’? Do tell, I love to hear creative stories 🙂
If you’d like to have a listen to Maryanne’s interview, you can click here, or click here for a list of other episodes of Art for Your Ear. And be sure to check out The Jealous Curator here if you’d like to be hit with a daily inspiration bomb (and let’s face it, who wouldn’t?).
