It’s great to challenge ourselves creatively, isn’t it? I’ve been weaving for a year now (almost to the day!), and have been enjoying playing and exploring with basics, but I also spend a lot of time spying on other people’s weavings, and having my mind boggled at all the amazing and intricate things they can do, and day dreaming about the day that I can do such things too!
Fortunately for me, I came across some fab tutorials from Kate from The Weaving Loom for all sort of different stitches and patterns, and decided to try them out in a bit of a ‘sampler’ weaving. Up-skilling for the win!
It took quite bit of concentration to get the patterns happening, but it was amazing to watch the pattern slowly emerge with each row I would weave. So satisfying!
I also tried wrapping some warp threads, just for something a bit different.
Have you up-skilled or challenged yourself creatively of late? Do tell 🙂
