There are a couple of exciting things going on in Saint Cardigan land!
The first is that some of my weavings are now in stock at in.cube8r gallery in Fitzroy! That’s right, in a real live shop! You can go there a touch them and tickle the fringing and everything! (Is that super weird?). If you’re a Melbourne type and you’ve never been to in.cube8r, I’d highly recommend making a trip there, as they support over 90 Australian makers and artists. Also, it’s located conveniently close to Trippy Taco, so if you’re in the neighbourhood, it’s a pretty great excuse to eat a burrito the size of your head (but do we really need an excuse for that?)
My second piece of super fun news is that my absolute weaving idol and teacher Maryanne Moodie (who I have gushed about far too many times on this blog, so I shall spare you), featured me as ‘student of the month’ in her email newsletter! It was the best surprise to stumble upon my winking weave as I scrolled through Maryanne’s newsletter, and I was lucky enough to be featured alongside another amazing weaver, Shannon Spohn who is making a weaving a day for a year (you can see her Instagram details on the right in the image below). If you’d like to read the newsletter in full, you can click here.
Phew! After all that excitement, I might need to sit down and have a burrito. What exciting things are going on in your world at the moment?
